George L. Paul has been in the private practice of law since graduating from Yale Law School in 1982.  He has been recognized in Martindale-Hubbell as an "AV/Preeminent Attorney" (5.0 out of 5.0 Overall Peer Rating); in “Best Lawyers in America” in two categories; and in “Southwest Super Lawyers” as a business litigation lawyer.   His books and legal articles have been cited frequently in court decisions and others' articles -- not only here in the United States but also in other nations (Supreme Court of Singapore).  

Before attending Yale Law School, Mr. Paul attended Dartmouth College, where he graduated in 1979 (Summa cum laude) (Junior Phi Beta Kappa)(high distinction in history).

Mr. Paul has conducted numerous jury and bench trials. He has successfully prosecuted cases before the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Arizona Supreme Court. ‎ He for many years was a frequent lecturer at seminars and meetings, and has been a keynote Speaker at national conferences.  He has been featured in the ABA Journal. He has been interviewed by National Public Radio on emerging issues. 

Mr. Paul is a recognized authority on the law of digital evidence and the legal issues presented by complex information systems.  He is the author of the best-selling book Foundations of Digital Evidence (2008).  He co-authored, with Bruce Nearon, the best-selling The Discovery Revolution: E-Discovery Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (2006).  He has authored numerous articles including "Systems of Evidence in the Age of Complexity;" "The Authenticity Crisis in Real Evidence; " “Information ‎Inflation: Can the Legal System Adapt?” (with Jason Baron); John Frank and the Law Professors' Brief, Arizona State Law Journal, Vol. 35, No. 2, 2003; 
“Transformation,” in Winter/Spring ‎‎2013 edition of The Sci-Tech Lawyer; and “Canvassing the Emerging Law of ‎Digital Information:  Stephen Mason’s  Electronic Evidence,” appearing in the Summer 2013 edition of ‎Jurimetrics. 

Mr. Paul addressed Federal Evidence Rules Advisory Committee on the exponential growth of technology and the dangers it presents to the Rule of Law, most particularly, how we can know the difference between true and  false in the milieu of complex information systems. 

Mr. Paul was credentialed as a United Nations delegate during the international negotiations preparatory to the 1992 "Earth Summit."  Because of his expertise in complex systems and the global importance of Earth's biodiversity , Mr. Paul was involved in helping frame the International Convention on Biological Diversity.
